The Canton of Givry is a French constituency in the district of Chalon-sur-Saone in Saône-et-Loire and the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; its main town is Givry . Pierre Voarick ( UMP ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 1998, last re-elected in 2011 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Givry included the 17 municipalities of Barizey , Charrecey , Châtel-Moron , Dracy-le-Fort , Givry , Granges , Jambles , Mellecey , Mercurey , Morey , Rosey , Saint-Bérain-sur -Dheune , Saint-Denis-de-Vaux , Saint-Désert , Saint-Jean-de-Vaux , Saint-Mard-de-Vaux and Saint-Martin-sous-Montaigu . Its layout corresponded to an area of 150.21 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 7119.
