La Ferté-sur-Chiers is located about 34 kilometers southeast of the city center of Sedan in the Argonne region near the border with Belgium . La Ferté-sur-Chiers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villy in the north, Margut in the east and northeast, Bièvres in the southeast, Lamouilly in the south, Olizy-sur-Chiers in the southwest and Malandry in the west.
