Escombres-et-le-Chesnois is a French municipality with 349 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ardennes in the Région Grand Est . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Sedan and the canton Carignan (until 2015: canton Sedan-Est ). The inhabitants are called heurquets .
geography
Escombres-et-le-Chesnois is about twelve kilometers east of the city center of Sedan in the Argonne on the border with Belgium . Escombres-et-le-Chesnois is surrounded by the neighboring communities Bouillon (Belgium) in the north, Messincourt in the east, Sachy in the south, Pouru-Saint-Remy in the south-west and Pouru-aux-Bois in the west and north-west.
