Saint-Aignan is a French commune with 149 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region .
geography
The village is located on the upper reaches of the river Bar , which accompanies the Canal des Ardennes here and which flows into the Meuse at Pont-à-Bar . To the west the canal leads into the valley of the Aisne . The canal runs through a tunnel near the village .
Between October 1, 1964 and December 31, 1985, the commune of Saint-Agnan was incorporated into the commune of Cheveuges .
