Douzy is a French commune with 2,167 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Ardennes in the Région Grand Est . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Sedan and the Canton of Carignan . The inhabitants call themselves Douzynois .
The municipality was created with effect from September 15, 2015 as the Commune nouvelle of the same name through the amalgamation of the formerly independent municipalities Mairy and Douzy , which have since had the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Douzy.

geography
The community is about eight kilometers southeast of Sedan . Neighboring communities are:
- Francheval in the north,
- Pouru-Saint-Remy in the northeast,
- Brévilly in the southeast,
- Remilly-Aillicourt in the southwest,
- the Commune nouvelle Bazeilles with the Communes déléguées Bazeilles in the west and Rubécourt-et-Lamécourt in the northwest.
Douzy is located on the right bank of the Chiers River , which flows into the Meuse a few kilometers further .
Transport links
Douzy is crossed by the European route 44 , which leads in this section from Sedan to Montmédy . At the same time there is also a railway line that has no stop in Douzy. The small Aérodrome de Sedan-Douzy airfield is also located here .
Partner communities
Douzy has had a partnership with Mölschbach , a district of Kaiserslautern , since 1967 .
