Brunsbek ( Low German Bruunsbeek ) is a municipality in the Stormarn district in Schleswig-Holstein . Langelohe, Brunsbek, Kronshorst and Papendorf are in the municipality.
history
Brunsbek was created on January 1, 1974 through the merger of the municipalities of Kronshorst , Langelohe and Papendorf . The name is derived from the Low German name for the Brunsbach, which flows through all three villages.

Community representation
Of the 13 seats in the municipal council, the ABW electoral community has eight and the CDU five seats since the 2013 local elections . The constituency FBB, which previously held three seats after the 2008 local elections, did not run.

The coat of arms of Brunsbek is a pictorial representation of the three districts. The crane stands for the district Kronshorst ( Kron is the Low German name for crane), the long bar for Langelohe and the church window for Papendorf, which was created when the Hamburg cathedral chapter was founded.
