The women's discus throw at the 1954 European Athletics Championships was held on August 27, 1954 in the Neufeld stadium in Bern .

In this competition there was a triple victory for the Soviet Union. The European champion was the 1952 Olympic champion Nina Ponomarjowa . In second place came Irina Beglyakova , two years later also Olympic runner-up. Bronze went to the European shot put champion Galina Sybina .
