The women's discus throw at the 1958 European Athletics Championships was held on August 20 and 22, 1958 in the Stockholm Olympic Stadium.
The European champion was the Soviet thrower Tamara Press . She won ahead of the Czechoslovak Stepánka Mertová. Bronze went to the German athlete Kriemhild Hausmann , later Kriemhild Limberg.

The eighteen participants took part in a joint qualifying round. The qualifying distance for direct entry into the final was also set so low in this competition at 42.00 meters that only three athletes did not reach this mark. The fifteen qualified throwers (highlighted in light blue) competed together for the final two days later.
