The shot put women at the 1958 European Athletics Championships was on August 23, 1958 at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium held.

With silver and bronze, there were two medals for female athletes from the USSR in this competition. The German athlete Marianne Werner became European champion . Second place went to 1956 Olympic champion Tamara Tyschkewitsch . Bronze went to Tamara Press , who won the discus throw the day before .
