Nienstädt is a municipality in the Schaumburg district in Lower Saxony and part of the Nienstädt municipality .

geography

Nienstädt is located on the northern slope of the Bückeberge between Bückeburg and Stadthagen directly on the federal highway 65 .

The five districts of the community are Nienstädt, Sülbeck , Liekwegen, Wackerfeld and Meinefeld. While Sülbeck and Nienstädt are intersected directly by the B 65 , Liekwegen is a street village along the Bückeberg. Wackerfeld and Meinefeld are located in an open landscape north of Nienstädt.

Neighboring municipalities are the cities of Stadthagen and Obernkirchen and the municipality of Helpsen in clockwise order .

history

• Nienstädt was created in an early medieval settlement period. In a document issued between 1153 and 1170, the Bishop of Minden confirmed a gift from the noble Mirabilis in Nienstide . In 1554 there were the first records of the mining of coal. A glassworks was also built in 1871 and Nienstädt was run with Wackerfeld and Gut Meinefeld as a rural community in the Stadtthagen district. From 1928 to 1974 the Bruchhof also belonged to the community, which was the ancestral seat of the nobleman Mirabilis in the 12th century, until he fortified the monastery of St. Mauritius with it, while the bailiwick over the court remained with the Counts of Wölpe until Count Bernhard III. von Wölpe transferred the rights to Volkwin in 1281 . Around 1843 Nienstädt had 395 inhabitants. On March 1, 1974, Nienstädt, Helpsen, Hespe and Seggebruch merged to form the Nienstädt municipality and belonged to the Schaumburg-Lippe district . The newly formed district of Schaumburg has been responsible since 1977 .
• According to historical researchers, Sülbeck was first mentioned as Sullethe between 1055 and 1080 . Here, too, the noble Mirabilis gave a court with seven hooves to the Bishop of Minden between 1153 and 1170. In 1188 sold Ludolf II. Of Dassel the pin Oberkirchen a courtyard and the church Sülbeck. In 1540 a coal field was first mentioned. Between 1741 and 1762 55 shafts were sunk. In 1871 Sülbeck formed a rural community in the Bückeburg office. On July 1, 1968, the community was dissolved and incorporated into Nienstädt.
• Liekwegen is a clearing village that emerged from the mining villages of Nienstädt and Sülbeck. In 1610 there is the name in the Lichwege . When the Grafschaft Schaumburg was divided in 1647/1648, the area became part of the Hessian part and belonged to the Vogtei Hattendorf in the Amt of Schaumburg. In 1782 the place had 170 inhabitants. When it was incorporated into Nienstädt on March 1, 1974, it was taken over in the Schaumburg-Lippe district .
• Wackerfeld and Meinefeld were also created in an early settlement period. Here, too, the noble Mirabilis, who had no offspring, gave goods to the bishop of Minden in Wackeruelde and Eillenuelde between 1153 and 1170 . In the villages, due to lack of space, one camp was lined up next to the other, perpendicular to the stream.

On July 1, 1968, the municipality of Sülbeck merged with Nienstädt. On March 1, 1974, the municipality of Liekwegen was incorporated.

The Evangelical Lutheran parish of Sülbeck includes Nienstädt with all districts and the Bruchhof (Stadthagen) and is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Regional Church Schaumburg-Lippe .

In 1969 the Catholic Church of St. Bartholomew was built. In 2010 it was profaned and in 2011 it was demolished. Today the Catholics belong to the parish of St. Joseph in Stadthagen.

On a red border a white border covered with a powder blue nettle leaf. In the nettle leaf as symbols the mining symbol hammer and mallet in black with golden stems and a golden ear with twelve grains, arranged in pairs.

Companies

An international company with a focus on research is active in the Sülbeck district with a seed breeding company. There is also a furniture store and a hotel. In the district of Nienstädt there is a commercial area directly on the B 65.

Public facilities

• The police station in Bückeburg is responsible for public safety and order.
• Fire protection and general assistance are provided by the Sülbeck and Liekwegen volunteer fire departments.

education

A daycare center is available in Nienstädt in the preschool area. Kindergartens with crèches are held in Liekwegen and Sülbeck. Nienstädt is a primary school location. Secondary schools are located in Helpsen, Stadthagen and Bückeburg.

• The B 65 , which leads from Minden to Hanover , runs directly through the municipality .
• The next motorway junction is Bad Eilsen on the federal motorway 2 Hanover - Dortmund , about 10 kilometers away.

Buildings

The community in Sülbeck has the Church of the Holy Cross, built on the medieval tower in 1861 and equipped with an organ donated by Adolf I. Georg .

• With the clubs SV Nienstädt 09, TuS Sülbeck eV from 1906 and TSV Liekwegen eV from 1910, three sports clubs offer many opportunities for physical exercise.
