Remarks
- ↑ a b The ATP lists Fleming and John McEnroe as first in the world on their ranking pages from June 25, 1984 and July 2, 1984 . However, all information on points and tournaments played is missing. The information in the ATP World Tour Media Guide 2012 (p. 185) is therefore followed. Assuming the information on the ranking page is correct, John McEnroe's total number of weeks at the top of the world rankings increases (at least) to 271.
- ↑ a b According to the ATP World Tour Media Guide 2012 (p. 185), Jacco Eltingh was world number one from February 13, 1995 to March 26, 1995 together with Paul Haarhuis. This is contradicted by the presentation on the ATP ranking page for the respective data (see only February 13, 1995 ). Although both players were equal on points, according to Eltingh's ATP tournament overview, he played one tournament more than Haarhuis in the 52-week period . It can therefore be assumed that Haarhuis was actually the only world leader in the relevant period. If, on the other hand, the presentation of the ATP World Tour Guide 2012 is assumed to be correct, the total number of weeks at the top of the world rankings in Eltingh increases to 68.
- ↑ a b c According to the ATP World Tour Media Guide 2012 (p. 185), Nenad Zimonjić was world number one from May 25, 2009 to June 7, 2009 and from September 14, 2009 to November 1, 2009 together with Daniel Nestor. Although Zimonjić was level on points with Nestor in these periods, the leadership of Zimonjić as world number one contradicts point 9.06 C 1) of the ATP Rulebook , as Zimonjić had played more tournaments in the relevant 52-week periods. Zimonjić is also listed in second place on the ranking pages for the respective period. According to the counting method of the ATP World Tour Media Guide 2012, the total number of weeks at the top of the world rankings increases to 50 for him. According to the ATP World Tour Guide 2014 (p. 209), Zimonjić was number 1 in the rankings for a total of 56 weeks.
- ↑ a b According to the ATP World Tour Guide 2013 (p. 185), this series by Nestor and Zimonjić covers a total of 17 weeks. However, the period from February 1, 2010 to May 16, 2010 is only 15 weeks.
- ↑ a b According to the ATP World Tour Guide 2013 (p. 185), this series by Nestor and Zimonjić covers a total of 14 weeks. However, the period from June 7, 2010 to August 15, 2010 only extends to 10 weeks.
- ↑ According to the ATP World Tour Media Guide 2012 (p. 185), John McEnroe was at the top of the double world rankings for a total of 270 weeks. However, adding up his individual series only gives a total of 269 weeks. From the ATP World Tour Guide 2013 (p. 185), the total number for him is given as 269 weeks.
- ↑ According to the ATP World Tour Media Guide 2012 (p. 185), Daniel Nestor was at the top of the double world rankings for a total of 115 weeks until the end of 2011. According to the ATP World Tour Guide 2012, this would mean a total of 133 weeks. However, adding up his individual series up to the end of 2011 only gives a total of 90 weeks. According to the ATP World Tour Media Guide 2013 (p. 185), Nestor was at the top of the double world rankings for a total of 113 weeks until the end of 2012. However, adding up his individual series only gives a total of 108 weeks.
