Heinz Tiemeyer					Honorary citizenship granted on January 27, 1993. Mayor from 1991 to 1993. Died on October 8, 2005 in Lübbecke-Gehlenbeck.
Walter Hartwig			1997		The former city chronicler received honorary citizenship on November 9, 1994.
Dieter Voigt					Honorary citizenship awarded on September 24, 2000, former cantor of the evangelical St. Nikolai community and co-founder of the town twinning with Lübbecke.
