Systems with a steel lattice tower are marked in italics . Since new wind turbines are constantly being built and dismantled with or without repowering , this list does not claim to be complete; it shows the status from the end of 2019. The database is the interactive map from Metaver, which you can also use to find out about planned and approved wind turbines in Saarland.
In 2015, renewable energy sources (sun, wind, hydropower, biogas, biomass) covered around 19 percent of the Saarland's gross electricity demand.
