List of wind turbines in Thuringia

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of wind turbines in Thuringia provides an overview of the installed wind turbines in the state of Thuringia , with a focus on the installed wind farms . Locations with three or more systems are considered wind parks. Systems with a steel lattice tower are marked in italics . Since new wind turbines are constantly being built and dismantled with or without repowering , this list does not claim to be complete; it shows the status from the end of 2019. The database is the interactive map of Geoproxy Thuringia, which you can also use to find out about planned and approved wind turbines in the state of Thuringia.

In 2016, renewable energy sources (sun, wind, water power, biogas, biomass) covered around 63 percent of Thuringia's gross electricity demand.
