Maasen is a municipality in the Diepholz district in Lower Saxony .

Maasen lies between the Wildeshauser Geest Nature Park and the Steinhuder Meer Nature Park, roughly halfway between Bremen and Minden . The community is located in the western part of the Samtgemeinde Siedenburg that its administrative headquarters in spots Siedenburg has. The middle center of Sulingen is about 5 km to the west.
