Mancor de la Vall is a municipality on the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca . It has 1509 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019), 1017 of them in the town of the same name (as of 2008). The proportion of foreigners in the community was 8.19% (88 people), the proportion of German residents 3.17% (34 people). The locals call themselves Mancorí or Mancorina.

history

For a long time Mancor was politically and ecclesiastically dependent on the neighboring town of Selva . It was not until 1913 that Mancor became an independent parish. In 1925 the political separation of Selva and Mancor took place and became an independent municipality ( municipi ).
