Martin Seifert (born February 24, 1951 in Jena ) is a German actor and speaker.

Life

As a trained toolmaker , Seifert first played in an amateur drama group, then studied acting from 1971 to 1974 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin-Niederschöneweide . During his studies he already played at the Deutsches Theater . After his first engagements at the Staatstheater Schwerin, he joined the Berliner Ensemble in 1978 , where he has since appeared in various roles such as Romeo, Marquis Posa and Amphitryon.

In addition, from 1978 he started an extensive film and television career. Seifert played his first, much-noticed leading role in Heiner Carow's DEFA strip Until Death Do You Part (1979). Further film assignments such as Lenard Fritz Krawinkel's Sumo Bruno (2000) followed. He also works as a speaker in audio productions and as a lecturer at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts.
