NGC 4434 is an elliptical  dwarf galaxy from the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Virgin on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 45 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 20,000 ly. It is listed as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster under catalog number VCC 1025 . 
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4415 , NGC 4416 , NGC 4464 , NGC 4465 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on December 28, 1785 .
