NGC 4465 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Virgo to the ecliptic . It is an estimated 327 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years across. She is listed as a member of the Virgo Galaxy Cluster under catalog number VCC 1182 , but is too far away for that.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4464 , NGC 4467 , NGC 4470 , NGC 4472 .
The object was discovered by Guillaume Bigourdan on March 31, 1886 .
