NGC 4484 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Virgo to the southern sky , the estimated 219 million light-years from the Milky Way 's center.
The object was discovered on March 9, 1828 by the astronomer John Herschel using his 18.7 inch mirror telescope.
