NGC 5211 is a 12.8 mag bright bar spiral galaxy with an active galaxy core (LINER type) of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Virgo and about 163 million light years from the Milky Way.
The object was discovered on April 14, 1828 by John Herschel .
