NGC 5213 is a 14.0 mag bright bar-spiral shaped radio galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 305 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 5245 , NGC 5246 , NGC 5252 , IC 896 .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on April 30, 1864 .
