NGC 567 is a lenticular galaxy of Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Cetus south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 310 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered in 1886 by the American astronomer Francis Preserved Leavenworth .
