NGC 562 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Andromeda on the northern sky . It is estimated to be 465 million light years from the Milky Way and about 175,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered on November 30, 1885 by the American astronomer Lewis A. Swift .
