NGC 666 is a 13.3 mag bright spiral galaxy in the constellation Triangle in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 218 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Édouard Stephan on November 22, 1883 .
