Niederleuscheid was a village in the municipality of Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district . Today it forms the eastern part of Leuscheid .

location

Niederleuscheid lies on the Leuscheid in the valley of the Niederleuscheid brook . Neighboring towns are Leuscheid Saal in the north, Röhrigshof in the east and Eutscheid in the south. Niederleuscheid is on Landesstrasse 312 .

history

The village belonged to the parish of Leuscheid and at times to the mayor's office of Herchen .

In 1830 Niederleuscheid had 43 residents.

In 1845 the hamlet had 56 inhabitants in eleven houses. 16 of them were Catholic and 40 Protestant.

In 1888 Niederleuscheid had 65 residents in 15 houses.
