O'Reilly Auto Parts is an American auto parts dealer and supplies both professional vehicle workshops and private customers with aftermarket products . The company was founded in 1957 and operates more than 5145 stores in 47 states with over 75,000 employees. An IPO of O'Reilly Automotive Inc. took place in 1993. In 2008, O'Reilly completed the largest corporate acquisition in the company's history with the takeover of competitor CSK Auto . Today O'Reilly is the third largest auto parts dealer in the country, after Advance Auto Parts and AutoZone, and a component of the NASDAQ 100 index.
