Analog Devices HOS-050: a hybrid operating room from 1979

Analog Devices was founded in 1965 by Ray Stata and Matt Lorber in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The product focus was on high-performance operational amplifiers , from whose circuit symbol (a simple triangle) the Analog Devices logo is derived.

Analog Devices has published Analog Dialogue magazine since 1967 .

The acquisition of Linear Technology was announced on July 26, 2016 . The takeover was finalized on March 10, 2017.

On July 13, 2020, Analog Devices announced that it would acquire Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. for $ 20.91 billion.

Products

In addition to analog circuits , the product range also includes digital processors. With its analog-to-digital converters (ADC), the company has secured a firm place in the industry. Today Analog Devices offers a comprehensive range of products and has worked with digital signal processors of Blackfin , SHARC - SigmaDSP - (audio signal processors) and TigerSHARC architecture and microprocessors success. Sound cards were also offered under the name SoundMAX .
