Ostuni (wine)

The name Ostuni stands for red and white wines from the southern Italian municipality of Ostuni in the province of Brindisi in the Apulia region . The wines have had a protected designation of origin ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 1972 , the last update of which was published on March 7, 2014.

Growing area

The growing area is very small. Cultivation is permitted within the province of Brindisi, within the communes of Ostuni , Carovigno , San Vito dei Normanni and San Michele Salentino and in parts of the communes of Latiano , Ceglie and Brindisi .
