Petr Tatíček (born September 22, 1983 in Rakovník , Czechoslovakia ) is a German - Czech ice hockey player who has been under contract with ERC Ingolstadt in the German Ice Hockey League since 2014 .
Career
Petr Tatíček began his playing career at the Czech first division club Poldi Kladno , where his father, Petr Tatíček senior, worked as an assistant coach. Petr Tatíček junior played in the U18 and U20 junior team of the club in the late 1990s before making his debut in the Czech extra league in the 1999/2000 season . In summer 2001 he moved to North America to join Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League to improve his chances of an early draft placement. Due to the playful achievements shown (more than one scorer point per game in the 2001/02 season) he was selected in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft 2002 in ninth place by the Florida Panthers . But he stayed in the OHL for another year before playing for various Panthers farm teams between 2003 and 2006. In the 2005/06 season he made his debut in the National Hockey League with the Panthers, but was sent back to the Houston Eros after three NHL games . Later, the NHL rights to Petr Tatíček changed hands, so that he played the season at the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins to the end.
He came to HC Davos in December 2006 through Hershey Bears and his home club HC Kladno , where he played until 2013. In 2007, 2009 and 2011 he became Swiss champions with Davos .
At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he was under contract with HC Lev Prague in the Continental Hockey League , but was only used sporadically and therefore moved back to HC Davos in January 2014. He has been playing for ERC Ingolstadt since the 2014/15 season . He extended his contract with the ERC early to 2018.
