The Players Championship Finals 2017 are a major tournament in darts and were held for the tenth time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from November 24th to 26th, 2017 . The tournament was held at the Butlins Minehead Resort in Minehead and was the dress rehearsal for the upcoming 2018 World Cup .

The title was won by Michael van Gerwen from the Netherlands , who prevailed in the final with 11: 2 legs against Jonny Clayton from Welsh .

format

The tournament was played in legs using the knockout system . The number of legs to be won per round increased. Game mode in the 1st round was a best of 11 legs . By the finale, the mode rose to best of 21 legs . Each leg was played in 501 double-out mode.

Prize money

Compared to last year, the prize money has increased by £ 60,000 to a total of £ 460,000. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
