The Śląski Stadium in Chorzów , the venue for the 1986 Polish Cup final

The Puchar Polski 1985/86 (German- Polish Football Cup 1985/86 ) was the 32nd playout of the Polish cup competition. It began on July 28, 1985 and ended with the final on May 1, 1986.

Last year's finalist GKS Katowice and Górnik Zabrze faced each other in the final . GKS Katowice won the national cup for the first time in its second final. Final opponent Górnik Zabrze was in the final for the eleventh time and lost for the fifth time. By winning the cup, GKS Katowice was qualified for participation in the European Cup Winners' Cup.
