Rýchlostná cesta R9 is an approx. 98 km long expressway in eastern Slovakia that is in the planning stage along the entire route . It was added to the expressway network in 2010 and will run along the Lipníky (junction with the R4 ) - Vranov nad Topľou - Humenné - Snina route . Since no studies have been carried out so far, neither the length nor the exact route are known, but it is intended to partially replace the state roads I / 18 and I / 74 .
According to a communication from the Ministry of Transport in August 2012, further planning of the expressway is currently suspended.
