Lipníky is a municipality in the east of Slovakia with 520 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) in Prešov District , part of the Prešovský kraj and becomes the traditional landscape Šariš counted.
geography
The village is located in the foothills of the Low Beskydy Mountains along the Ladianka brook . Other landscape features are the foothills of the Slanské vrchy in the south and the Petič saddle in the east. The center of the village lies at an altitude of 285 m nm and is 15 kilometers away from Prešov .
history
The Lipníky commune is relatively young, as it was only founded in this form in 1990. It is made up of the municipality parts Lipníky, Podhrabina and Ta zusammenka. The place Lipníky itself was previously a hamlet of the Šarišská Poruba municipality and was first mentioned in writing in 1410 and incorporated into Nemcovce in 1971 .
The hamlets of Taľka and Podhrabina were part of Nemcovce. However, while Ta entstandka arose in the 14th century, Podhrabina was not founded until after the First World War.
The present municipality was established on August 28, 1990 after a decision of the Regional National Committee in Prešov, an associated cadastral municipality was only created in 1992 from the parts of Chmeľov , Nemcovce and Šarišská Poruba.
