Hendrichovce (until 1927 in Slovak "Hedrihovce" or "Henrihovce"; German Heinrichsdorf , Hungarian Hedri ) is a small community in eastern Slovakia with 255 (as of December 31, 2019).
The village of Hendrichovce is located about 20 kilometers west of Prešov in the valley of the upper Svinka , a 51 kilometers long left tributary of the Hornád . The area is used intensively for agriculture up to an altitude of 500 m. A few kilometers west of the village rises the Branisko mountain range up to 1199 m .
Hendrichovce is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Hermanovce in the northeast, Bertotovce in the east, Chminianske Jakubovany in the south, Fričovce in the west and Štefanovce in the northwest.
The first order of 18 road leads through Hendrichovce. It is one of the most important road connections in Slovakia and formed part of the European route 50 until 2015 , when the D 1 motorway ( Poprad - Prešov section ) was completed in the relevant construction section. This leads north past Hendrichovce and has taken up a large part of the long-distance traffic.
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1320 as villa Herrici .

According to the 2011 census, Hendrichovce had 234 inhabitants, 227 of whom were Slovaks and one was Rome . Six residents did not provide any information about their ethnicity .
220 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church and one resident each to the Evangelical Church AB and the Greek Catholic Church. Two residents were non-denominational and the denomination of 10 residents was not determined.
