Malý Šariš (German Kleinscharosch , Hungarian Kissáros ) is a place and a municipality in eastern Slovakia with 1754 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located in the Okres Prešov , an administrative unit within the Prešovský kraj .

Malý Šariš is located in the Šarišská vrchovina mountain range on the Šarišský creek , a right tributary of the Torysa , and is four kilometers south of Veľký Šariš and five kilometers west of Prešov . The center of the village is at an altitude of 300 m nm
history
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1248 and belonged to the Šariš castle estate . In 1828 there were 68 houses and 521 inhabitants.
