history

The place arose in the 16th century in what was then the municipality of Lesíček and was first mentioned in writing in 1550. The place name (literally "gold mine") recalls the attempted gold mining in the period 1730–1861, which was largely unsuccessful. In 1828 there are three houses and 25 residents. It was not until the middle of the 19th century that the place became independent and in the late 19th century it was characterized by clay mining, which was used for local tile production. At the beginning of the 20th century, antimony was mined before mining was stopped by the First World War.

Today the community is oriented towards tourism.
