Dulova Ves (until 1948 Slovak "Guľvas"; Hungarian Sósgyülvész - until 1907 Gulyvész ) is a small town in the east of Slovakia with a population of 1,380 (December 31, 2019) in Prešov District , part of the kraj Prešovský , and is the traditional landscape Šariš counted.
geography
The village is located in the northern part of the Košická kotlina basin in the valley of the Delňa brook . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 308 m nm and is eight kilometers from Prešov .
Neighboring municipalities are Prešov ( Solivar district ) in the west and north, Kokošovce in the east, Abranovce in the south-east, Žehňa in the south and Záborské in the south-west.
history
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1417 as Gwluez or Gwluuez . In 1427 a total of five portals were recorded according to a tax register. In 1787 the village had 45 houses and 279 inhabitants, in 1828 there were 60 houses and 444 inhabitants.
Until 1918, the place in Sharosh County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, 699 inhabitants lived in Dulova Ves, including 623 Slovaks , 28 Roma , six Ukrainians , five Russians and one Magyar . 36 inhabitants did not give any information about their ethnicity .
559 inhabitants supported the Roman Catholic Church, 40 inhabitants joined the Evangelical Church AB, 22 inhabitants joined the Greek Catholic Church, three inhabitants joined the Brethren, two inhabitants joined the Orthodox Church and one inhabitant joined the Mormons. 30 residents had no denomination and 42 residents had no denomination.
