Ondrašovce (until 1927 Slovak "Andrášovec" or "Andrašovce"; Hungarian Andrásvágás ) is a municipality in the east of Slovakia with 54 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) in Prešov District of, part kraj Prešovský , and is the traditional landscape Šariš counted .
geography
The municipality is located in the Šarišská vrchovina mountains in the catchment area of the Svinka . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 460 m nm and is 15 kilometers away from Prešov .
Neighboring municipalities are Chmiňany in the north, Brežany in the east, Bajerov in the southeast, Žipov in the south and Krížovany in the west.
history
Ondrašovce was founded in the 14th century by the builder Ondrej (German Andreas) under German law and mentioned for the first time in 1427 as Andraswagassa . In the same year a tax of 14 Porta was due. The village was part of the Bajerov domain, later it was owned by families such as Berzeviczy , Bertóty and, in the 19th century, Winkler . In 1787 the village had 20 houses and 139 inhabitants, in 1828 there were 24 houses and 193 inhabitants who were employed as carters, charcoal burners and farmers.
Until 1918/1919, the place in Sáros County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, 61 people lived in Ondrašovce, 59 of them Slovaks and one Czech . One resident gave no information about ethnicity .
54 residents committed to the Roman Catholic Church, four residents to the Greek Catholic Church, two residents to the Evangelical Church AB and one resident to the Brethren.
