Ruská Nová Ves (Hungarian Sósújfalu ) is a municipality in the east of Slovakia with 1291 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in Okres Prešov , part of the Prešovský kraj and is part of the traditional Šariš landscape .

The municipality is located at the foot of the Slanské vrchy and lies at an altitude of 418 m nm. The center of Prešov is about 6.5 km away in a north-westerly direction.
