The R92 ( Russian Р92 ) is a trunk road of federal importance in Russia . The 206 km long road in central Russia connects the cities of Kaluga , the administrative seat of the Oblast of the same name , and Orjol , the center of the Oryol Oblast .
The road begins a little south of Kaluga on the R132 Kaluga - Rjasan (a few kilometers west of Kaluga also runs the M3 Ukraina Moscow - Brjansk - border to Ukraine ) and leads south to Oryol, with its central section through the extreme west of the Tula Oblast . The road is mostly two-lane and - with the exception of shorter gravel sections in the Chekalin - Beljow area - asphalted. A few kilometers from Kaluga have been expanded to four to six lanes since 2012.
