The red in the upper half stands for the heather areas within the municipality, the Heidschnuckenkopf for a herd of Heidschnucken. The silver wavy ribbon symbolizes the watercourses in the community. Dedelstorf is to the east of the junction of federal highway 244 , which leads to Helmstedt , from federal highway 4 ( Uelzen - Braunschweig ).

The Schnuckenheide-Repke glider airfield is located north of the village of Repke .

garrison

Dedelstorf 1936 first garrison town and got a military airfield , after the war, the British continued to use for a while, see airfield Dedelstorf .

The barracks , previously known only as Dedelstorf camp , were given the name Richthofen barracks on October 1, 1964, after the Bundeswehr had already moved there in 1962. In 1994 she left the parish and the barracks were closed.
