  • Obermayerhofen Castle in the Neustift near Sebersdorf district was built in 1170 as an estate . In 1377 the owners, the Obermayerhofen lordship, sold the estate to the Knights of Teuffenbach . In 1540, after the death of Bernhard von Teuffenbach, the small castle was distributed to his four sons, who, after many disputes, sold their share to one of the brothers in 1552. He began to rebuild the castle, which was completed in 1574. In 1777 the castle came to belong to Josef Graf Kottulinsky, who had a new Meierhof wing built. After the basic discharge in 1848, the Counts of Kottulinsky only spent a few months in summer and autumn in the castle and handed it over to the Baroness von Taulow in 1924. After the Second World War , the castle fell victim to looting and fell into disrepair, whereupon Harald Graf Kottulinsky bought it back in 1977 and converted it into a castle hotel.
