history
The Ganzenberg and Glasbach farms (first mentioned in 1328) were under the rule of feudal lords. Dietrich von Rüti donated them to the St. Urban monastery , and in 1458 they were sold to the city of Bern. In 1507 Hans Rudolf von Luternau sold the farmer Henz an impressive farm in Flückigen for 340 guilders.
The first electric lamp burned on November 11, 1911 at 11.11 a.m. in the agricultural community. As a result of the population decline, the post office was closed in 1992, in 2001 the upper school class had to be closed, the kindergarten and primary school remained in the village. In 2015 there were 48 schoolchildren, 40 agricultural and some craft businesses.
