Ronnie Tober
Ronnie Tober (actually: Ronald Edwin Tober ; born April 21, 1945 in Bussum ) is a Dutch pop singer .
Tober came to Albany , United States, with his family at the age of three . He became active there as a singer and had appearances on the local television station and worked as a musical performer. After appearing on the Dutch music program Off the Cuff in 1963, he was discovered by a local record company. His debut single was released in 1964 with Every Avond . In 1966 he had a successful participation in the Sopot Festival , but his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 1968 in London with the Schlager Morgen ended in last place.
Ronnie Tober remained a well-known pop singer in the Netherlands for decades. In 2003 he founded the Ronnie Tober Foundation , which cares for people with intellectual disabilities.
