Thérèse Steinmetz (born May 17, 1933 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch chanson singer and painter.

After studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam , she worked as a singer and actress. In 1966 she even had her own little TV show called Thérèse . She competed in the Dutch preselection for the 1967 Grand Prix de la Chanson alone with six titles. By voting for a postcard, the audience decided in favor of the hit Ring-dinge-ding . At the competition in Vienna , the title then landed on 14th place.

In 1970 she won the international song festival Cerbul de Aur in Brașov, Romania .

She remained active as a singer until the mid-1980s, after which she worked in the field of painting. She does this in Cannes , where she has lived since 1981.
