Maribelle

Maribelle (aka Marie Kwakman ; born April 4, 1960 in Volendam ) is a Dutch singer .

Already in 1981 she took part in the Dutch preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest and was narrowly defeated by Linda Williams . In the pre-selection in 1984 she made it and was therefore allowed to compete for the Netherlands at the Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 1984 in Luxembourg . She reached number 13 with the chanson Ik hou van jou (English: I love you ). Her albums and singles made her place in the Dutch charts.
