Michelle Courtens

Michelle Courtens (born August 3, 1981 in Venray , Limburg Province , Netherlands ) is a Dutch singer , cellist and singing teacher.

Live and act

She represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with the song Out On My Own (in German: Alone outside ). However, she only reached an 18th place (out of 23 participants). In Copenhagen she and her background singers sat barefoot on the stage floor until the last minute.

After the contest she worked as a singing teacher.

On September 16, 2006 she married her partner Carlijn.
