Bernadette Kraakman (born March 1, 1959 in Volendam ) is a Dutch former pop singer .
Kraakman was a singer with the Fat Eddy Band in the late 1970s, which released some singles in the Netherlands. In 1981 they had a small hit with Let Your Body Move It . From 1983 she tried her hand at playing Bernadette solo and won - still quite unknown - the national preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 1983 . At the competition in Munich she reached seventh place with the title Sing Me a Song . The single was able to place in the Dutch charts, but remained Bernadette's only success. Other singles were hardly noticed.
In 1986 she founded the short-lived and unsuccessful duo Double Trouble together with the singer Ingrid Simons.
Over the next few years, Bernadette could be heard as a voice actress in various animated films from Disney .
In 1999 she emigrated to Canada, where she and her husband ran a pancake restaurant in Kamloops , British Columbia for 15 years . The couple have been the owners of the Campbell Hills Guest Ranch, also in Kamloops, since 2014.
