Roth near Rosbach was a district of the municipality Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district . Today it forms the southernmost part of Rosbach .

Roth lies on the slopes of the Leuscheid . The neighboring village in the west is Helpenstell , former neighboring towns were Rüddel in the east, Obernau in the southeast and Lindenpütz in the north.

Roth belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld .

In 1830 Roth had 59 inhabitants.

In 1845 the hamlet had 63 Protestant residents in 13 houses. In 1863 there were 73 people. In 1888 there were 80 residents in 14 houses.

178 inhabitants lived here in 1962 and 211 in 1976.
